Abstract

Administrasi pekerjaan sosial adalah proses menjalankan suatu organisasi yang meliputi tujuan, kebijakan, kepegawaian, administrasi, pelayanan, dan evaluasi. Namun, pengelolaan pekerjaan sosial di organisasi layanan manusia menghadapi berbagai tantangan terkait dengan kurangnya sumber daya untuk mendukung infrastruktur organisasi dan fungsi administrasi. Salah satunya adalah banyak organisasi layanan manusia dikelola oleh administrator yang tidak memiliki keterampilan manajemen di bidang pekerjaan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi pekerja sosial di Yayasan Belajar Istana Anak Banten (ISBANBAN). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan kompetensi administrator pekerjaan sosial yang dimiliki oleh pimpinan Yayasan ISBANBAN. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan data sekunder. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Direktur Yayasan ISBANBAN memiliki latar belakang pekerjaan sosial dan memahami pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku sebagai pekerja sosial. Dalam hal ini, pimpinan Yayasan ISBANBAN harus menjaga dan meningkatkan kompetensinya sebagai pekerja sosial. Selain itu, jika pemimpin dan/atau administrator organisasi memiliki latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman dan kompetensi manajerial di bidang pekerjaan sosial akan berdampak pada efektivitas distribusi layanan organisasi tersebut dan sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai.
